Our Mission

Rock The River (RTR) is an organization that creates high impact events, raising awareness and directly empowering communities to take action on endangered waterways in their area. This social initiative provides a platform for businesses and residents to actively participate in improving the sustainability of waterways in their communities.

The launch of RTR focuses on the Passaic River, one of America’s most historic yet compromised waterways. Together with benefactor Friends of the Passaic River, Inc 1997 501(c)3, Rock The River seeks to stimulate affected the river’s surrounding communities with positive, fun, free, family-oriented events supported throughout the year by local community service projects. Through these special events and service efforts, RTR educates mindful prevention of damage to the river, and reestablishes it as a leisure-time destination.
